Island Salon is a collaborative project initiated by Danielle Zorbas, Angela Garrick and Sophie Kitson. Expanding the scope of Australian experimental arts practice and engagement, Island Salon unites a band of female artists across a broad spectrum of media in an immersive, island-inspired cinema experience. Island Salon celebrates the polyphonic Australian woman’s voice. A constellation of imaginings, reverie beyond genre. Cultural politics in the public sphere. Cicatrice of many, psychic, queer.
